A close examination of our fabrics reveals exceptional details. Here we begin with dobby fabric, a soft 100% cotton cloth which is woven on a special loom to incorporate small geometric patterns and texture. For the dyed design, a wood block dipped in dye is used to hand print the squares.
The color appears brown at first but will turn blue after washing. Then the artisan uses a second hand-carved block to precisely stamp the small petal design in the unprinted square. This motif turns green after the fabric is washed and dried. The result is layers of pattern that look and feel wonderful.
