by Junior Board member- Tessa Tsarong-Blomker
The Junior Board is pleased to announce that our Bollywood Bash to support the Armaan Club was a success! The event was completely sold out and we brought in $2,445! We are so happy with the amount of people that came out to support and have fun!
We started off the night with food donated from local vendors, drinks, and music by DJ Jon Garcia. The mingling transitioned into Bollywood dance instruction by Gopi Engineer of the Meher Dance Company. Hardly anybody was too shy to dance and Gopi brought so much energy and enthusiasm that everyone couldn’t help but enjoy themselves even if they were just watching.
Not only was there dancing, there was a silent auction with many great sponsors such as Lucky Strike, Art Institute of Chicago, and Nadeau: Furniture with a Soul to name just a few. We were also lucky to have Bala Thiagarajan give many guests henna tattoos and display her beautiful paintings. The night was successful beyond our expectations.
We want to thank all of our sponsors and guests for making this event a success! We are incredibly appreciative of your support.
A special thank you to the food vendors that made this possible:
Uru Swati, Latitude 20N, Royal Sweets, and Kamdar Plaza.
